Important Warnings

UPPSC PCS is the premier state civil service exam of Uttar Pradesh — SDM and DSP posts are among the most sought after.
CSAT Paper 2 is qualifying at 33% — focus on Paper 1 for ranking.
Mains has General Hindi as a merit paper (unlike UPSC where language papers are qualifying).
No limit on number of attempts — only age limit applies. This is different from UPSC CSE.
UP domicile is important for availing category-based relaxations.
Optional subject choice is crucial — similar to UPSC, it impacts total marks significantly.
Interview carries 100 marks — relatively less weightage compared to UPSC CSE.
