1. Acceptance

By accessing or using PeakMocks (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Continued use after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. The Service

PeakMocks is an independent exam-preparation platform for Indian competitive-exam aspirants. We provide free mock tests, an eligibility checker, application-milestone tracking, current-affairs content, and exam-calendar tools.

PeakMocks is not affiliated with the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Government of India, or any government ministry. We are an independent third party. We do not sell courses. No course to sell — that is our positioning and our promise.

3. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete registration information.
  • Keeping your password and credentials confidential.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notifying us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must be 18 years of age or older to register. Users under 18 require verifiable parental or guardian consent.

4. User Conduct

You must not:

  • Spam, scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract content from the platform.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the Service.
  • Impersonate another person or entity.
  • Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
  • Attempt to disrupt or circumvent the Service's security or rate-limiting mechanisms.
  • Share or resell mock-test questions for commercial gain.

Violations may result in immediate account termination.

5. EligibilityChecker — Important Disclaimer

Our EligibilityChecker is a heuristic guide based on the published official notification. Final eligibility is determined solely by the Staff Selection Commission at the document-verification stage. Always cross-check against the official notification PDF and your original category and qualification certificates. PeakMocks is not the issuing authority and does not guarantee any eligibility outcome. We are not liable for any consequence arising from reliance on EligibilityChecker results without independent verification.

The EligibilityChecker processes Sensitive Personal Data (category, disability status, DOB) with your explicit consent, governed by our Privacy Policy and the DPDP Act 2023.

6. MilestoneTracker — For Your Tracking Only

Steps marked as complete in MilestoneTracker are for your own personal tracking only. Your mySSC application record — as maintained on SSC's portal — is the sole authoritative record of your application status. PeakMocks does not submit applications, fees, or documents to SSC on your behalf. We are not liable for any missed deadlines, rejected applications, or application errors.

7. PhotoSignatureChecker — Heuristic Only

The PhotoSignatureChecker is a local, browser-only tool. Your photo and signature are never uploaded to our servers or any third party — they are processed entirely on your device using the Canvas API. The check is a heuristic based on published SSC dimension and file-size guidelines, not an official SSC validator. Final acceptance of your photo and signature is at SSC's sole discretion at the time of upload on their portal. PeakMocks is not affiliated with SSC and is not responsible for upload rejections.

8. Public JSON Endpoint

PeakMocks provides public access to exam-cycle data at /api/v1/exam/{slug}/{year}.json.

  • License: Our editorial layer is available under CC-BY-4.0. Attribution requested: “Source: peakmocks.com”.
  • Underlying government data: SSC notifications and official data are government-owned; see india.gov.in/copyright-policy.
  • Rate limit: 60 requests per minute per IP. Exceeding this returns HTTP 429.
  • No warranty. Data is provided as-is. Always verify against the official notification PDF.

9. Pricing

The Service is free at point of use. Free mock tests, eligibility checks, milestone tracking, current-affairs content — all free. We do not sell courses, premium subscriptions, or paid content. We do not display ads based on your personal data.

10. Intellectual Property

  • Our content: PeakMocks's editorial copy, UI, and code are owned by PeakMocks. All rights reserved unless otherwise noted.
  • Government data: SSC notifications, official syllabus, vacancy counts, and dates are government-owned. We paraphrase and cite per the principle in Eastern Book Co. v. D.B. Modak (SC 2008).
  • Your content: You retain ownership of data you submit. You grant PeakMocks a limited licence to store and display it to provide the Service.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that mock-test content is free from inaccuracies, or that EligibilityChecker results match SSC's determination at document verification.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PeakMocks and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including missed exam deadlines, SSC application rejections, exam results, mySSC outages, or loss of opportunity from reliance on EligibilityChecker results. Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed ₹1,000 (one thousand Indian Rupees).

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PeakMocks and its operators from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the Service in violation of these Terms.

14. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. You can delete your account via account settings or by emailing us. Per DPDP §12, your personal data is hard-deleted from the live database immediately and purged from encrypted backups within 30 days. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. (Placeholder: confirm registered jurisdiction with legal counsel.)

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance. Material changes affecting your rights require re-acceptance.
